A warmhearted “Hello” to you friend. My name is Sarah Claire! Welcome to my corner of the internet. As an Upstate South Carolina Luxury Wedding and Portrait Photographer, here you will find beautiful images, touching client stories, and updates on my personal life! When I am not documenting weddings and other magical life moments, you can catch me at church, going on adventures with my husband, and jamming to Taylor Swift. (I’m a total fangirl!) Here is a bit more about me, my photography journey, as well as a few quirks that make me who I am.
First, I am a Christian.
God has been a part of my life since before I was born. It is a miracle I am even here today after being born premature at 29 weeks, weighing under 4 pounds. The Doctors thought I wouldn’t make it, BUT by God’s abundant grace, here I am! I grew up in a Christian home with loving, Christ filled parents. I can still remember the moment I asked Christ into my heart. It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon with my Bible and a heart full of conviction for my sin and adoration for the One who gave me life. I cried tears of relief, feeling home forever in the security and gentle loving arms of Jesus.
A verse that spurs me on is Romans 1:16-17, which reads:
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek”.
For this reason, my sole purpose in life is to share God’s grace with anyone who will listen. The main verse that spoke to me when I started my photography business is Colossians 3:23-24:
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”
This verse motivates and encourages me to keep my eyes and heart focused on Him and not myself or my achievements.

Second, My Husband, David, and Dog, Cosmo!
These are my people right here. These two are some of the biggest blessings in my life. I have an ENTIRE blog post I am writing detailing just how David and I met and our story of getting our sweet dog, Cosmo.
The quick version of both stories:
David and I met in April 2020, got engaged in January 2021, and married in May of 2021. We had a DREAM wedding day and got married at a beautiful venue in West Houston, Texas. Our Honeymoon was in Asheville, NC in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains followed by three days in Greenville, SC, where my hubby went to college at BJU.
About 6 months later, we made a surveillance trip up to Greenville, SC to see where we should plan to live if we were to move there. God provided an amazing realtor who helped us find and build our dream home. Fast forward to Feb 2022, we made the cross country move to Greenville, SC and we LOVE it here!
We got Cosmo a little over a year ago and absolutely adore him. He adds extra comfort and cuddles to our lives daily. He is a Bernedoodle who stole our hearts and has the fluffiest coat! His eyes are irresistible and he is the sweetest little pup.
Throughout these big life changes and moments, God has been so good! He has always been right there guiding, helping, and providing for us. He provided us with a good church home and gave us very kind neighbors. Autumn up here in Greenville is something else entirely since we live near the blue ridge mountains. The weather here is always gorgeous and never too hot – nothing like the heat of Texas I’m used to. Our location in the Upstate of SC makes it so that I can travel up to 4 or 5 hours around me to photograph weddings in GA, TN, NC and even Charleston and Myrtle Beach areas. We are in love with our home and are so blessed to have it!
Third, I am an Artist!
God gave me the gift of photography at the young age of 7. As a luxury wedding and portrait photographer up here on the East Coast, I have had over 6 years in this business and over 10 to hone my craft and abilities. I capture my subjects in a true and authentic, and elegant way that I call the Sarah Claire Signature style. Capturing all of life’s magical moments has not only brought my clients joy, but makes me feel so fulfilled as an artist. Weddings, Newborns/Lifestyle sessions, Grad sessions, and extended family sessions are among my absolute favorite moments to photograph – those moments where you are in your happy place with those you hold dearest, creating lasting memories for years to come.
This is what I feel led and challenged to do in this life and it is my absolute joy to capture the most precious memories in your life. I wake up everyday full of joy and gratitude that I am living my dream capturing your precious memories. Each client relationship is built on trust as I listen and capture what’s most important to you.
