There’s something so special about returning to the place where it all began. For Mandy and Drew, that place is The Never Ending Flower Farm in Asheville, NC. This is the very same venue where they shared one of the most magical wedding days I’ve ever photographed. Their anniversary session was just as memorable as their wedding day. One year later, we returned to the farm to celebrate their anniversary, and it felt like stepping right back into their love story. We started at the spot where they shared a first look a few days before walking down the aisle. This time, instead of the structure of a wedding day, their session was filled with playful, unstructured moments that brought out the laughter, twirls, blurry love-drenched photos, and those sweet in-between gestures that say so much without words. We flitted through the beautiful flower rows of flowers, danced under garden arches, and let the beauty of the farm (and their love) guide us. I love when couples let their true colors shine and allow me to capture them in their most natural state.

The Never Ending Flower Farm is truly one of my favorite places in Asheville. Its rows of blooms and sweeping mountain views create an endlessly romantic backdrop for weddings, engagements, and anniversary sessions alike. When Hurricane Helene hit this area of Appalachia, the Never Ending Flower Farm was hit hard, as well as Asheville and the surrounding counties. Needless to say, I was so pleased when one of my favorite places ever was reopened for U-pick flower days, and photo sessions this past spring. There’s a saying that there are always rainbows after the rain, and that couldn’t feel more true here.

For me, documenting not just a couple’s wedding day, but their journey in the years that follow, is such a privilege. These are the photographs that weave together your story. It also means the world to me to be chosen to document your greatest life moments throughout the years.
