Some couples have a way of making the world around them feel lighter and more joyful—Nicole and Ed are exactly that kind of couple. From the moment we met, I knew their engagement session would be nothing short of magical. Their energy, effortless chemistry, and adventurous spirit made for the most breathtaking images. What I love most about capturing love stories like theirs is when couples fully embrace the experience, letting go and simply enjoying the moment together. Their romantic engagement session was one I won’t soon forget!
Romantic Engagement Session
Nicole and Ed are the most charismatic and carefree couple. They share a deep love for music and the great outdoors—two things that instantly connected us! Their easygoing, carefree nature made every moment feel natural, as if I was simply hanging out with old friends. They were so at ease with each other and in front of me that I didn’t even need to pose them in some scenarios. They just went straight into adorable interactions that they graciously allowed me to catch on camera!
Downtown Charleston
When we were planning their engagement session, Charleston was an easy choice. Its historic charm and stunning landscapes provided the perfect backdrop for their love story. We started at the beautiful Charleston City Hall in the heart of downtown. Here, we took some sweet family portraits, capturing the love and support surrounding Nicole and Ed.
From there, we wandered through the downtown streets of Charleston, soaking in the romance of this iconic Southern city. Nicole and Ed strolled hand in hand, stealing kisses and giggling between shots, completely lost in the moment.
Sunset Magic at Folly Beach
Our next location was Folly Beach—a coastal gem in South Carolina. There, we were greeted with the most perfect sunset on the horizon creating a breathtaking backdrop. There was running, twirling, dip kisses, splashing through the waves and so much love in the air. The energy was electric! The crazy part of it all? The temperature had dropped into the 40s with the wind, and the ocean water was pretty cold, as we shot until it was completely dark—but Nicole and Ed didn’t care one bit! They embraced the moment fully, dancing along the shoreline and splashing in the waves. Watching them so in love, so completely immersed in joy, was an absolute dream to capture.
This session was an adventure from start to finish! The best part: it’s just the beginning of Nicole and Ed’s incredible journey together. Their wedding in the mountains of Colorado this autumn will be the perfect, tranquil sanctuary to celebrate their union. I cannot wait to document every heartfelt moment and get these two lovebirds MARRIED!
