Golden Hour Engagement Session

In the HEAT of Houston summer this past august, I had the honor of capturing this beautiful golden hour engagement session for Meredith and Jacob at Woodlands Waterway. They were such a fun, sweet couple to be around and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them! Their natural chemistry was infectious and their love for one another was undeniable. I love watching them interact as they naturally flowed into poses, sharing laughter and stealing glances. Then there was the way Jacob made Meredith laugh and the way he smiled at her; it was so tender. I cannot WAIT to capture those looks again on their wedding day in January!

The golden glow from the setting sun provided romantic, soft lighting, however, the heat was on a different level. Summers in Texas are not for the faint of heart. Meredith and Jacob were so gracious with me as I gasped for air and chugged a few water bottles throughout the afternoon!

One thing I adored is that they took my advice seriously from the SCP style guide and showed up stunning and camera ready! I loved their outfit selection, as they stuck to neutral clothing that photographed beautifully. My favorite though, was Meredith’s fun, black dress which added texture and movement! Also can we talk about that RING!! Woah! Take notes, future brides and grooms!

Meredith and Jacob’s love story is just as sweet as they are! The couple met in college at Sam Houston in Texas. From there their love story blossomed as Meredith studied to be a speech pathologist and as Jacob prepared for his Dallas law enforcement certification, which he just recently passed! Congratulations, Jacob!

Now these two will be starting the next chapter of their story soon and I couldn’t be more excited! Meredith and Jacob, I am so grateful for the opportunity to capture your stunning engagement session. Congratulations and see you both in January – there is so much to celebrate!
